GOLD-UE Local 261

Graduate Organized Laborers of Dartmouth-United Electrical Workers Local 261 (GOLD-UE) is a rank-and-file led union of 800+ graduate teachers and researchers at Dartmouth College.

Our organization is committed to breaking down socio-economic barriers to higher education by fighting the exploitation and abuse of graduate labor. Dartmouth's history is rooted in racism, patriarchy, and colonialism. We believe that the only way to deconstruct this archaic system and build an equitable and just institution in its place is through collective action. We wage our struggle in solidarity with all workers organizing against their bosses towards more dignified living and working conditions for all.

Our union has been on strike since May 1, 2024 to secure a living wage, affordable childcare, and short-term disability benefits.
