NASCO

As member-led and community-centric organizations, cooperatives are a powerful tool for resistance against dominant systems of extraction and exploitation. NASCO member co-ops resist oppressive and predatory real estate practices by practicing democratic decision-making, educating members on the cooperative model, and keeping real estate off the speculative market.

Throughout NASCO's history, our housing co-ops and their members have stood firmly in solidarity with local and global movements for social, environmental, and economic justice. Some co-ops have participated in direct action to end patterns of systemic injustice, some have contributed to mutual aid work to support their community members, and some have prioritized building safer spaces within their own homes.

A $10 donation from each item goes directly to support NASCO in pulling together co-opers from across the continent to develop the skills needed to care for our existing base of co-ops and create new co-ops rooted in anti-oppressive values. Donations to NASCO are an investment in the preservation and expansion of life-affirming institutions.
