University Staff United, a union for staff by staff

University Staff United is a union for all regular, non-supervisory* staff across all three campuses at the University of Michigan (UM). Our union for UM staff unites us into one collective voice that can effectively advocate for improvements and greater protection in the workplace.

*USU is led by UM staff members who are committed to representing the needs and concerns of our recognized units and building new unions for not-yet recognized, but eligible, staff. We believe that fostering strong relationships and practicing democratic decision-making will enhance our power in the workplace. We work together to improve conditions and keep what we appreciate about our jobs.
